Use guide lines to help align and position objects in a graph window.
Positioning Guide Lines
Step 1
Make sure the Show option is turned on for guide lines in the Rulers, Grid & Guides dialog (View menu).
Step 2
Position the pointer on a ruler in the graph window and drag toward the center of the document to display a guide line. Dragging from the horizontal ruler creates a horizontal guide; dragging from the vertical ruler creates a vertical guide.
Step 3
Release the mouse button when the guide is in the desired position.
Step 4
To move a guide line to a new position, position the pointer at the intersection of the guide and the ruler and drag. (Adjust vertical guides in the horizontal ruler and horizontal guides in the vertical ruler.)
Removing Guide Lines
Step 1
Position the pointer at the intersection of the guide and the ruler.
